On Thursday, March 7 the Fairchild and Weisberg clans visited the Knoxville Zoo - everyone had a grand old time, especially the little ones. By the end of the 2.5 hour affair all of the little ones were tired, and were therefore being carried, pushed, or pulled around. This of course made the adults tired, too.
Here the girlies are checking out the otters. The little redhead is Lindsey, and her mom Laura is right behind her.

But this is a real ferret that the girls were able to pet, thanks to some nice zoo workers.
I'm not sure which the girls enjoyed the most - looking at the reptiles (I didn't take any pictures of the very frisky rattlesnakes, as this is a PG-13 rated web site), or splashing in the puddles that were just outside of the reptile area. Okay, they liked the splashing better!
Here Dad is holding Hayley up to get a better look at her favorite animals, the elephants. Unfortunately the new elephant and giraffe area was under construction, so we couldn't get very close to the big guys, but Hayley and Shelby were still pretty impressed with seeing them.
