On Saturday the 2nd the family did an outing to the Oak Ridge Museum of Science and Energy.  It had a bunch of stuff that was really neat for the kids.  One section was all on nuclear energy and weapon research, as that what the town of Oak Ridge was created to develop years ago.

So, I decided to take what I thought were a couple of ironic shots of little Hayley and Shelby, the future of my family (and, as little kids, they represent the future of humanity in a way), sitting astride a nuclear warhead, often considered the beginning of the end of mankind.

Hayley and Shelby, of course, didn't think any differently of sitting on top of a nuclear warhead and crawling through a tunnel of a little pink house - both were just innocent fun.

But the most fun of the whole day wasn't found in the museum - it was outside on the way back to the car - Hayley and Shelby spent a good (and wet) 15 minutes splashing in the puddles outside of the museum.  They had a ball - we found a couple of real big puddles, so they were able to get nice and soaked from the knees down.

Mom, Courtney, and Debbie weren't doing much puddle jumping, but they had fun watching the little ones hop around!
